It’s time to wave goodbye to 2012, a year filled with cheerleaders, paperboys, porn stars and Patti. Before the big ball drops in Times Square, Broadway.com decided to poll your favorite Broadway stars to get their take on the high point of the year we’re leaving behind—and what they’re hoping is in store for the year ahead! Find out what the stars had to say about their resolutions for 2013.
SETH NUMRICH (Joe Bonaparte in Golden Boy)
Highlight of 2012: “Probably climbing my first real mountain. In early May, a friend and I mountaineered our way up to the summit of Mount Whitney, the tallest peak in the contiguous (lower 48) United States. Next to acting, being in the great outdoors is my biggest passion. Being cast as Joe Bonaparte in Golden Boy was a huge highlight for me (and a very close runner-up), but the 360 degree view from 14,505 feet, and the ecstatic exhaustion of getting up there is pretty hard to beat. Also the depleted oxygen level makes it twice as fun.”
Resolution for 2013: “This might sound strange, but I'd like to build a house. Well, really, I'd like to help build one. Since Hurricane Sandy I've spent a few of my Mondays trying to help out with the relief effort, and one of those days I was doing demolition work, gutting the inside of a house that was partially destroyed by flooding. It made me want to do more, so next year I'd like to join up with Habitat with Humanity (or some group like that) and help rebuild. Who's with me?!”
